are you sure that what you see is part of your lif

Fri Sep 29, 2006, 7:00 AM
I recently had a thought...

they say that some minutes before you die, you live your life allover again... so how do you know that what you're living now is the truth and not an illusion you have two minutes before you die??

it poped into my head while i was watching something...
this phrase encircled me and couldn't stop thinking about it...

but some things can never be answered... do you agree ??

This sounds like a brain in a dish. You don't know if your life is real, or you have implanted memories, and you are a brain in a petri dish. Everything your sensory organs tell you isn't real, your brain is actually stimulated to show it's real.

Well my opinion is: If you are in the illusion 2 minutes before you die, you ought to see things in a flash, not live through them again. If you are living through them again it would have taken a lifetime of time, which you do not have the time.

I read a book saying that when you die, your soul travels through that tunnel with a light at the end thing at or near the speed of light. When you die, because your soul is travelling near or at the speed of light, you see time running backwards, not forwards. I remember the book comparing this to watching the movie of your life.

My second opinion is: If my first opinion is wrong, this means that you are reliving the same thing again, and you ought to have some memory of your life. You will have some deja-vu, and you may realize that you are living your life again. But I don't think this is a good/solid opinion.

So... those were my thoughts. I guess some things are not meant to be known.

I agree very much... There are many many things in life people will never understand, and I guess that what makes things interesting... people can't know everything... But that question is a mind bender... Its a good one... Like... what is the meaning of life? If there ever is a PROPER answer to that one, Id like to hear it, I guess that questions kinda opinionated... but ah well.. speak soon.

The paradox of life is that throughout it you create your own prison by how you perceive reality... and then try to escape from it...

i have found my meaning of life, but i can't know yours... it is subjective...
death is a mistery of life...
only the poeple who die, discover the truth... it is pitty they can't tell us :p

lol, I guess you could be right... But, it depends what you believe in too... you might never die, you might be reincarnated into another living thing... Or just die... Or go to heaven... what ever, Its opinionated again.... Sorry ^_^

I actually had a thought similar to that in some sorta way. What if we're all dead and we're just watching our lives over again, like...judgement or something? Or if right now is just a really, really vivid memory...

Okay, head hurting...*walks away with a hand on head*

it is simillar , but i prefer yours...
i liked that you used the word judgement...
I 've never thought of that...
I have many thiughts, like animals can see things that we cant (cause I've seen my dog staring at the wall or staring at something behind me for hours...)
or that poeple with schozofrenia (or another illness i dont remember) who have a bigger i.q. can see things that are so frightening that if they told us , we wold tell them that they are crazy...
